Euorpean-style Café with Authentic Italian Cuisine

Located in the historic Sentinel Building -- home to Francis Ford Coppola's venerable motion picture production company, American Zoetrope -- Café Niebaum-Coppola features heated sidewalks and Parisian awnings, making year-round dining a comfortable reality.

Café Niebaum-Coppola ought to be called "The Four Corners of San Francisco."

In no other place in the city have we found one location that enables you to head north, south, east or west, where each direction takes you into a different district. Walk north from The Sentinel Building, and you will be in the heart of San Francisco's Italian neighborhood called North Beach. Head south, and you are immediately in the city's Financial District. Step out the café's front door and go west to get to Chinatown. Or cross the street to the east, and you will have entered historic Jackson Square.

The menu at Cafe Niebaum-Coppola features rustic Italian cuisine, including wood-fired pizzas, fresh antipasti, and made-to-order pastas.

After dessert or espresso, browse the store, which sells Niebaum-Coppola wines and other wines from California and around the world. Also for sale are American Zoetrope films and merchandise, as well as a few of Mr. Coppola’s favorite things from around the world.

The café is an excellent choice for a quiet dinner on a rainy evening. Or enjoy the seating outdoors, and take in the mix of cultures coming from every direction.

Café Niebaum-Coppola has been selected as one of This Year's Most Rugged Elegant Establishments in North Beach.
