Renaissance-Style Italian Ceramics
A family-owned business since 1946, Biordi Art Imports offers the finest Renaissance-Style Italian Maiolica. The business is currently run by John Savio, who purchased the business from its founder, Emilio Biordi, over 28 years ago. Savio originally hails from Florence, and his Italian connections remain strong.
Biordi works with the best artisans from Deruta, Gubbio, Orvieto, Montelupo, and Faenza to bring exquisite decorative accessories and exciting gift ideas.
Biordi is especially well known for its vast selection of hand-painted dinnerware from Deruta, Faenza and Castelli.
In October 2004 Biordi will, in conjunction with the Museo ItaloAmericano, sponsor a major Maiolica exhibition both in North Beach and at Fort Mason.
Biordi is available at its store, via phone and via its e-commerce-enabled web site to set up bridal registries and fulfill special order requests. Biordi can ship your purchases all over the world.
