Dr. Angela Wu is a healer. She is also known as a "Fertility Goddess."
By training, Dr. Wu is a certified Oriental Medicine Doctor (O.M.D.) and Licensed Acupuncturist. She is the former Head of the State of California Acupuncture Examining Committee. She has been practicing Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine for more than 30 years and has a thorough knowledge of botany and herbs.
In 1981, Dr. Wu founded San Francisco State University's Chinese Healing Studies program. In 1993, she also co-founded the HIV/AIDS and Chinese Medicine Annual Conference where she earned recognition for her work with HIV/AIDs patients.
While she has retired from teaching, she continues to keep a few roots in teaching by serving as Chair of the Healing Tao Instructors Association. In addition to this role and her acupuncture practice, Dr. Wu conducts workshops in Qi Gong and traditional Chinese medicine.
Before she came to America, Angela was a famous actress in China. Her star quality has resonated on PBS when she has been featured because of her high rate of success with infertility patients. Today, her focus is on applying her knowledge of Oriental Medicine to address infertility in both men and women.
Jennifer King, founder of Rugged Elegance, is one of those women. King credits her success in being able to carry two babies to term — in great part — thanks to Dr. Wu. "For thirteen years, I was told that I would never be a mother. Because of the blessing of a generous egg donor, one of the best invitro fertilization doctors, a gifted acupuncturist, a positive attitude, and God's graciousness, our destiny was changed, forever." Today, Jennifer and her husband, Tim have been blessed with two miracle babies. With her success and the success of hundreds of other couples, Dr. Wu is writing her first book called Secrets of The Fertility Goddess.
While Dr. Wu's specialty has become infertility patients, she also works with cancer and aids patients, as well as clients who have chronic, life-threatening diseases and pain.
The world is a far better place thanks to Angela and her gifts. San Francisco is lucky to have this beautiful woman in their community as a leader, a healer and a teacher.
