First and foremost, Tim is the ceo (chief e-commerce officer) of The Rugged Elegance World Marketplace.

In 2006, Rugged Elegance LLC sold over $15 million worth of "rugged elegant" products via the company's affiliation with Amazon.

The company's current annualized run rate is $30 million -- with Amazon.com alone. Education

Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College and a Master of Science degree in Management from the Sloan School at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Professionally

In 1994, he and his partner, Jennifer King became digital pioneers driving the launch of BioSpace.com, the global hub for the life sciences industry.

On March 15, 1995, the day BioSpace.com went live, there were only 50,000 web sites in the world. Today, BioSpace.com serves the information needs of over one million life science professionals every month.

Previously, Tim held marketing and product management positions with Cray Research, Sun Microsystems, and Farallon Computing. Prior to starting BioSpace in 1994, Tim founded Indigo Systems, a management consulting firm focused on applying Systems Dynamics and Systems Thinking to corporate strategy. From 1992-1994, Indigo Systems' clients included Apple Computer, Quantum Corporation, Pacific Gas & Electric and Federal Express.
